About Me
This is currently my 17th year at C.M.H.S.
I grew up in Round Lake, Illinois (a northern suburb of Chicago, almost to Wisconsin). When I graduated from high school, I attended Monmouth College in western Illinois, about 1/2 hour north from Western Illinois University.
I received my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and Learning Disabilities in 2002. I graduated from Southern Illinois University - Edwardsville with two Master's Degrees in Educational Technology in May 2008 and Special Education in May 2013.
I moved to Bethalto schools in 2004 after teaching middle school special education for 2 years in a small northern Illinois town, called Wauconda.
I have a beautiful daughter named Genevieve, who was born in June, 2013 and a son name Drew, who was born in April, 2020.
For the 2023-2024 school year, I will be teaching the following classes:
Career Development
Basic Algebra 2
Co-teaching Health with Mr. Peal
In addition to teaching these classes, I am the STEP (Secondary Transition Experience Program) cooperative work program coordinator, as well as the adviser for the Corner Cafe located in the CMHS library. You may go to this site for more information on
